In March 2010 Ekklesia wrote and performed a new song HAPPY with over 2000 children at the Queen Elizabeth Hall - its success led to Ekklesia rerecording it for release on 23 May 2011 - Get it on iTunes!!
At just 20, Mr. DaMention is a gifted musician, producer, singer, songwriter and multi instrumentalist, incorporating different sounds into his work. He is drummer for MOBO and UMA nominated group DTWG, and his work has already had airplay.
He also features on Faith Child’s superb debut album (on the track ‘All I Need’), and is currently working with serious UK talent: Rachel Kerr, Karl Nova, Utter Once, Guvna B, Miss.Tai and many more...

We say this every year, but this year becoming even more *incredible* for the UK gospel street music scene...
We're not even halfway through 2011 (it's mid-May at the time of writing this) and the scene is going through possibly its most fertile period ever, thanks in no small part to the consolidation of the free music and mixtape culture.
Writeway Music is typical of the drive of the new generation of artists now looking produce visuals that match the passion vibrancy of the underground sound.

In 2011, US-based Lamp Mode Recordings signed UK artist S.O. as their first international artist.
In 2010, S.O. accomplished both a degree in Theology from Durham University, and a mixtape offering called “The 5 Solas Mixtape“. It was this that caught the ear of Lamp Mode Recordings in the first place.
'Sure Thing' is a fun song with an equally irreverent video capturing the playful side of the Lamp Mode family around a barbeque.
