Another great example of best practice when releasing Mixtapes (or Mix CDs)...

Like DJ Yemi's 'UK Urban Mixtape Volume 1' from a couple of years ago, this is a project that was compiled and released with full permission of all the artists whose music is featured, a crucial practice in these days where many just knock out mixtapes using unauthorised music under the rather thin guise of 'promotion'.

Birmingham-based Stefan Davis aka DJ 4Real released Fusion Basslines as a free download from 1st June 2009.

This project offers tracks from serious names on the scene including Sammy G, Triple O, One Quest, L'Dubzy, Four Kornerz, Victizzle  and many more. There's even a track appropriated from the US-based Garage Gospel.
 
4Real says the vision for the compilation is to take a step out the box and be on the cutting edge of the current dance music scene in the UK, catering for the sounds that are currently in demand: “I believe music is live changing and can change a person's perspective on the world they live in.

Hopefully this project will not only change some lives, but introduce Christ in an accessible way to people who see him as irrelevant in today's society.”
