On Wed 16th December 2009, keen followers of the youth ministry and clothing line, I DO NOT CONFORM TO THIS WORLD, saw a beta version of the I DO NOT CONFORM website go live on the internet (www.idonotconform.com) just in time for the festive season.
Those close to the ministry would have noticed that it was originally launched in the summer briefly, but it has now resurfaced with a totally new look.
'Version 1 of the website was really just put up to allow supporters to buy our t-shirts online.
But our vision is to provide more than Christian clothing.
We have started a movement and we now know that we need to fuel it with a whole range of resources to fire up the revolution,” said Kelechi Amadi, the web designer and co-founder of I DO NOT CONFORM.
'This new site is built on a platform that will allow us to add blogs, a streaming video channel, social networking and an affiliate scheme. All of which will be rolled out in the coming months.
We are not even at 50% of where we want to go with site, so watch this space!
'We want to empower young people in the UK and across the world to Dare to Be Different', Kelechi continued. 'We are challenging people not to conform to this world and to live how God wants us to live. Romans 12:2 all the way, baby!'
Co-founder, Anita Amadi, explained that I DO NOT CONFORM is a volunteer organisation.
'We are looking for people who share this vision to partner with us.
We need writers, designers, photographers, musician and youth leaders to get involved. Our generation need to get saved, but then they need encouragement to stay saved.
To do this they need to swap pop-culture for Christ-culture'
