music industry Ricardo is stepping up to the
forefront to share his life and story with the
world.
Hailing from London but now based in
Birmingham, Ricardo 'Rocstarr' Williams
started singing at age 7.
He expanded his musical palette to take in
talent shows, school plays, church and more.
By the time he was 12 he began writing his own
lyrics to instrumental version of songs he
came across.
Influence
Influenced by artists including Boyz II Men,
Donnie Hathaway, Commissioned, Daryl Coley
Fred Hammond and more he's gone on to create
his own blueprint.
"When I write I want you to feel whatever emotion I am going through. I want it to feel personal. I want you to feel like you are in my life.”
Ricardo’s singing and song writing eventually led him to join a premier British gospel group ‘The Company’, who released their significant (and sadly, only) album ‘The Lost Code’.
Return
After a brief hiatus Ricardo returned in 2011 with a full free album, 'Soundcheck', and now, ahead of a 2014 release of new project 'The Show', has put out his latest single Make Me Right available in two flavours, #IAmBlue and #IAmBlack
Download both for free (as at at the time of publishing) from his website
