encourage people's hearts and inspire
lives through their music is worship singer
Taymé Tee.
His sophomore CD, 'Gonna Be OK', to be
released this weekend (August 28, 2010) is
filled with eight meaningful songs which
powerfully reflect his Christian faith and rich
musical heritage.
They embrace Soul, RnB, traditional gospel
as well as Taymé's Nigerian musical roots.
Currently serving as a worship leader at New Wine Church in
Woolwich, south east London, Tayme Teé's spiritual journey
has been an exciting one which has greatly influenced the sound and message of his music.
Primary Task
He says, "My primary task as an artist is to bring people to a point where they experience the presence of God. I'm really hoping that my new album will serve as a tool to encourage someone, no matter what situation they find themselves in."
Tayme Tee (real name Tope Akinbileje) committed his life to God in his 20s and has not looked back since.
It's Tayme Tee's rich and varied experience which has made him recognise music's power to also heal: "I believe there are times, in addition to the message on Sunday, that people need to hear a song of encouragement.
They need to hear someone says that it's going to be OK and this is what I believe the songs on Gonna Be O.K will do."
