Turns out the revolution will be televised after all...
It’s 6:00am as I type this. The Southern part of the UK is being hit by serious snowfall (I’m staring at a 6-inch deep white blanket as far as my eye can see outside my window). And the snow keeps coming.
But at 19:30 GMT today the heat gets turned up on Christian TV programming.
A lazy, cheesy pun I know, but I’m happy to risk what little journalistic integrity I have to drive home the serious point about how exciting it is to see quality contemporary music programming back on our TV screens – and what quality it is...
If you remember (and loved) the
exhilarating, street-level UK-centric
offerings of R Music TV, then you’re
undoubtedly going to absolutely love
Uprise.
This is well-packaged, world-class music TV
programming like we’ve all wanted for years
but rarely got in the UK.
Think MTV programming in its heyday before it diversified into reality TV and all the other bits it’s focusing on these days.
The intro alone is almost certainly guaranteed to get you tremendously excited. Follow this link to see it, and then come back here. I’ll wait.
So… What did you think…? Serious, isn’t it…?
